8/6/2016 1 Comment What's In A LogoI genuinely cannot wait for the start of the Premier League season. New manager, new players, new expectations, and now a new logo. St. Louis Red Army's own, Matt Haynes, created this logo for our group and I have to say it looks really slick. I must admit, being of a certain age, when I see "Red Army" and a logo with red, I am inclined to say, "Hello, Comrade Haynes" but that is from a different era. sA logo is more than just the words and the picture. The St. Louis Red Army logo represents our collective soul, encapsulated in images that we identify without even knowing it. The Manchester United colors, the Gateway Arch, the soccer ball in the corner, Red Army embossed at the bottom...we know what they mean as a whole and to each of us individually. The new logo represents us.
Let's not be overdramatic here. The St. Louis Red Army is a Manchester United Supporters Group where most of us have never set foot in Old Trafford and only dream to do so one day. However, let's also not underestimate the group that we are in. Being able to go to the Amsterdam and see old friends and make new ones is what this group is all about. The anticipation of a new season accentuates that feeling. Being able to commensurate with fellow Red Army members about what we like and don't like about the team we support not only on our Facebook page but in person makes the St. Louis Red Army. So here is to our new campaign. We will see victories and defeats, glorious goals and tactical errors, Dave saves and indestructible Phil Jones and we will experience it together with our new logo.

This post has me wondering. Why don't we organize a group trip to Old Trafford this year? This is the year we could win the Premiere League again and it would be awesome to have been to a match during this epic season.
